Loving Learning

Proverbs 12:1
 “…whoever hates correction is ignorant!”

It is  very interesting to note how the lack of interest in instruction…is curiously related to some type of bitterness, jealousy, or hatred.  People become hateful and arrogant when they lose their love for instruction and learning.

America is a country that is both loved and despised of people all over the world.  There are those who want to become like us, and are willing to patiently learn the profound truths that lie behind our success.  Then there are others who just simply want what we have, but are not willing to change their thought patterns and ideas in order to achieve the prosperity and peace that America has enjoyed now for more two hundred years.

How amazing it is to think that God created this world and this life dependent upon the action of learning!  It certainly is a component that is imperative to the continual growth, health, and peace of our individual lives, society, and world. Yet, it is astounding how quickly nations digress into tyranny and poverty when they become isolationist and insubordinate concerning their connection and relationship to a knowledge and instruction that only seeks to improve their societies.

Proverbs 12:1
“Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge…

To love instruction is to love growth and prosperity.  It is impossible to move from beyond where we presently are…without improving upon the things that we presently know.  The future prosperity of all sectors of society depends upon it…whether science, engineering, business, medicine, technology, or politics.  If there is one thing that history teaches us, it is that there is always room for improvement.

If we expect our light to grow brighter and brighter with each passing day, then we as individuals we must be willing to learn from others.  Furthermore, if prosperity and peace are to continue to bless our homes, both now and in future generations to come, then we must not be so vainly focused upon obtaining the “things” in this world…but rather, daily committed to the particular instruction and wisdom to which we as individuals are called to obtain by our Redeemer and Creator!
