Without counsel purposes are disappointed...
...but by the wisdom of excellent counsel they are established.
I do not believe that it is the quantity of counsel that one needs to receive, but the quality. So many folks go around asking everyone’s opinion concerning certain issues that they face in life, and end up more confused than when they first started. Others go around asking opinions until they find one that goes along with what they wanted to do in the first place.
It is very dangerous for us look for something that we want to hear, and not what we need to hear. What we need to hear...is the truth! If I am sick in my body, I need a doctor that is going to tell me the exact truth, so that I can address the issue and get well. If my finances are out of balance, I want someone to tell me where I have mismanaged the funds, so that I can become profitable again.
I guess what I am trying to say is that there is a strong connection between success and truth. If we are not willing to hear the truth, more than likely we are not going to be able to have much success in our endeavors, whether those endeavors be in business, family issues, personal character development, or spiritual rest. Day after day many of us, including myself, sort of attempt to go through life “winging it”, or "flying solo"...as some might say...and day after day many of us deal with the disappointments that often follow. The fact is that if we look hard enough for it...there is always a place...a source from where truth can be discovered, and excellent counsel received, so that our lives can be established and lived in peace.
This source is like a fresh spring of cool water coming right out of the rock! It is with the very giver of truth himself, God. When the proper time came, God wanting to fully manifest himself to humanity, did so when he took it upon himself to conceive a child, and called this son, Jesus, the anointed one of God. It is through him that God once and for all gives us the counsel we need to be settled and established in each and every area of the very life he has created for us to live. Seek to know God through his Son Jesus Christ, and his written Word...and I guarantee that you will find some excellent counsel for your life and all to which it pertains...and along with that...incredible success!
