Proverbs 11:10-11
“When it goes well with the just, the city rejoices;
Just Laws and Just Leaders. In order for things to go well, we need these two elements to thrive throughout every fiber of our society. When we as individuals no longer have these to uphold the peace of our nation, corruption invades all areas of government, and our demise becomes consequential in relation to our status. Nevertheless, if these two elements are highly esteemed, respected, and honored, without a doubt, life has an opportunity to continue to be lived at its very best for many generations to come.
Let us consider this. When compared to the situations that people endure in other countries around the world …despite all of our inconsistencies and faults…the U.S. is still one of the greatest nations ever established. The level of peace, freedom, safety, and prosperity that we have enjoyed is incomparable to that of any other!
However, in order to fully comprehend the differences, it is imperative that you not only read about these differences…but that you personally experience them by visiting these places. During the nearly 20 years that we spent in foreign countries,, from time to time I thought that we were being treated unfairly, simply because we were Americans. However, over time I came to realize that was the norm…that was the way everyone was being treated. In fact, we probably were being treated better than the rest because of our citizenship. In 1995, when I couldn’t find eggs and bread in a Russian city of over 450,000 people… that meant that everybody else was living without eggs and bread.
Proverbs 11:10-11
…But a city is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.”
Justice and just leaders are not a means to enslave society, but rather a means to protect it. So many dictators and oppressors have risen to power…on the very pretext of executing “Justice”! Albeit, how eloquent their speeches may be…their words are only mere deceptions…used to overthrow a nation, and violently oppress its people. People that believe in relativism, believe that they have a “right” to live an immoral life, and as a result flaunt their ideology and lifestyles. If it had an affect only on the individual, it might be understandable. But it does not. Immorality and injustice is like an air-born disease. It infects, destroys, and corrupts everything around it. Under relativism executives can steal from the public, because they think it is an acceptable business practice. People can oppress, betray, and even kill one another, because somehow they find a way in which to justify it. Children can be made into prostitutes, simply because poverty makes it necessary. We have aborted and murdered millions of precious innocent children under the pretext of convenience and population control!! Therefore…relativism is not a foundation for any kind of justice…in any nation! On the contrary, it is the very ground into which the seeds of its ultimate demise are sown!
In many countries, people are killed systematically by their governments…just because of their family name, religion ,or the color of their skin, having no other recourse for surviving family members, other than to try to flee hundreds of miles on foot, many times without adequate water or food. Kids are not allowed to have an education because of the religion or social status of their parents. People by the thousands live in or near dump yards, hoping to salvage something of worth that the other side of society no longer has use for. These are the injustices that overthrow a nation, and keep it in constant turmoil and rebellion.
With all this taken into consideration, what can we do, and what can anyone do to have things “Go well” in their lives, with their families, in their cities, and across their nations. How can justice prevail? “Justice” can only prevail…when those that are “just” prevail. Therefore, a society starves for justice…when it is starving for just leaders....and just leaders can only protect a city or nation...when the people of that nation give them the proper place to do so.
